Finding Your Motivation When Progression is Plateauing
If you stay on your fitness journey long enough, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll hit a plateau at some stage - and how you react to that can make or break your long term progression when it comes to reaching your goals.
Plateaus are when you no longer seem to be making any progress towards your goals; you’re not moving backwards, but you’re not moving forwards either - leaving you to just go through the motions and really starting to see the motivation dwindle.
It’s all part of something that I like to call 'The Progression Cycle’; and it looks a little something like this:
The Forgotten Concept of Health and Fitness
We live in a world where people are far too quick to copy what they see on social media, or to try out the latest health and fitness FADs and crazes, without applying any sort of logic or common sense to what it is they’re actually doing, and how doing that is going to help them reach their fitness goals - let alone applying it to how it will help improve their quality of life, as per the whole definition of exercise.
